Summit 7 Systems 2014 Year in Review

As this year comes to a close, I'd like to take some time and reminisce over the year that was - 2014 here at Summit 7 Systems. Won't you join me?

Summit7_Providence#1. Moving to The Village of Providence

We officially made the move the Village of Providence in early 2014 and with a few coats of fresh paint, some new furniture, a mix of new and old art, have turned our office-house into an office-home. It's been an interesting journey so far! We'll be having our first all-staff company meeting this Friday, so everyone (including remote workers) will be here this week. This will be the first time everyone will be in office since our move. It should be interesting to see how we all fit!

    ilovebacontruck#2. Open House

Of course, with a new location comes a new reason to celebrate! We hosted an open house in July and invited other local business owners, influencers and fellow Chamber of Commerce members. It was catered by the I Love Bacon food truck and the event really gave the community a chance to come by and see who we are and what we do. We met a lot of great people, had lots of great conversations and ate a lot of great food.

    awards#3. Awards and Recognition

2nd Year Named to Inc. 500 List of America's Fastest Growing Companies
2014 KMWorld List of 100 Companies That Matter in Knowledge Management

Ben Curry Awarded Microsoft MVP for 8th Year
Added Paul Robichaux, Microsoft MVP, Expanded Service Platforms
4th Year Recognition as CRN Next-Gen 250 Technology Leader

    donations#4. Charity & Community

Charity is one of our most important values here at Summit 7. It's important to us to give back to our local community. This year, as part of our giving-back efforts, we proudly supported the Full Tummy Project, the Liz Hurley Ribbon Run, STEM Rocks (a Leadership Huntsville project), the Columbia Elementary Astro Run and the Salvation Army Angel Tree.

    #5. ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

I guess this probably goes under Charity & Community, but it was just too great. I had to list it by itself. Earlier this year, the CEO of DealNews issued an Ice Bucket Challenge to its readers and our President accepted the challenge - like a boss. Please enjoy the following video.

    Looking forward to 2015!

    - Robin
