Mark Your Calendar

On September 18th Scott Edwards will lead ISACA in outlining the process for becoming NIST 800-171 and ITAR Compliant with Office 365 and the Microsoft Cloud Platforms. The Huntsville Chapter sought Edwards for this month's discussion as most of the ISACA membership are actively working to become DFARS/NIST/ITAR compliant by December 31, 2017.  This presentation will provide potential solution options and approaches that will allow firms to address NIST 800-171 Technical and Policy controls within the Microsoft Cloud platform.

The presentation will focus on three key areas:

    • NIST 800-171 Compliance Process

    • Office 365 Platforms and their Compliance Stance

    • Key Technical Capabilities and Next Steps

Scott Edwards is a thought leader around industry governance and security matters specifically in the Microsoft Cloud. Additionally, he is one of the leading experts in acheiving NIST compliance within O365 and Azure, and has written several documents centered around these topics. His expertise stems from his long held role as President and Managing Partner of Summit 7 Systems - a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and a Microsoft Gold Cloud Productivity Partner specializing in Office 365 security solutions.
