New Criteria to Gain Eligibility for Microsoft 365 GCC High

Below are quick instructions on starting the eligibility process. After you submit your eligibility application and receive the first communications from Microsoft, you will need to submit details about your organization, such as CAGE Code and a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number, so that the Microsoft team can do a lookup in the System for Award Management (SAM). Previously, the only way to gain access to GCC High was through submitting a contract to the Microsoft team that calls out ITAR, Export Controlled, CUI or CMMC as requirements OR providing a letter from a federal customer to validate the company's contractual obligations. Suppliers in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) can still take this route; however, for most it is likely easier to provide CAGE and DUNS information.
Another change in 2021 effected the importance of Categories. Before Microsoft lowered its requirements for eligibility, a company needed to gain a Category 3 eligibility notice for GCC High licensing, and Category 2 approvals only covered Azure Government subscriptions. Now companies can obtain an eligibility notice from Microsoft at any Category level, and receive a licensing quote from an AOS-G partner for Microsoft 365 GCC High (or Office 365 GCC High).

    Two Details Remain the Same

    1. You must share your Microsoft eligibility notice email with an AOS-G partner prior to receiving a formal licensing quote.

    2. The link for the eligibility application: https://azuregov.microsoft.com/general

Don't be confused by the Azure domain and branding. You're in the right place.

Also, you should check out the Office 365 Licensing Guide before starting your eligibility to get an understanding of what feature sets are currently available in each tenant type respectively. Let's get started!
Once you have the email confirming eligibility from Microsoft, just forward it to info@summit7.us and we can provide your Microsoft 365 GCC High licensing quote.
